  • Swimming pool heat pumps are advanced, energy-efficient devices that use electricity to transfer heat from a low-temperature source to a high-temperature source. Operating on the reverse Carnot cycle, they extract heat from air (above -15°C) and transfer it to the water through a titanium heat exchanger, raising the water temperature. Similar to air-source heat pumps, they use a small amount of electricity to power a compressor. The compressor compresses the working medium into a high-pressure, high-temperature liquid, which then heats the water to 45°C-55°C. For every 750 watts of electricity consumed (about the same as a rice cooker), the heat pump absorbs and transfers four times that amount of energy from the air, making it significantly more efficient than traditional electric water heaters.
